10. The New Hero System
The best tease of the trailer by far - the hero system looks set to return in a big way for Battlefront's third console instalment. Not only do we get to see Darth Vader emerge from the carcass of a mangled AT-AT, but also the Millennium Falcon flying about in all its beauty - something Pandemic's games failed to bring in. Does this mean heroes will get their own personal vehicles to pilot in the Battlefield as well? If so, that'd be a brilliant feature to add by the franchise newcomers. The two confirmed heroes thus far appear to be Vader and fan-favourite Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett, but DICE will definitely be including many more when the final product reaches shelves in November. Whether they choose to reveal them all prior to its release is anyone's guess, but in an age where most games' details are revealed way before they go gold a few surprises wouldn't go amiss. In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir.
