Star Wars: Battlefront 2 - Ranking EVERY Hero & Villain From Worst To Best
6. Rey
REY'S ABILITIES
- Dash Strike: Rey charges forward with her lightsaber held high, dealing damage to enemies who dare stand in the way.
- Mind Trick: Rey causes nearby enemies to be dazed and confused for a brief period of time.
- Insight: Rey takes a moment to deeply sense her surroundings, revealing and highlighting all nearby enemies.
As the latest hero in the Skywalker Saga, it would be insane for EA to make Rey anything less than overpowered. And they did. When the game was released, no enemy was a match for her - even Darth Vader. However, all good things must come to an end, and she her abilities were "nerfed," somewhat.
Dash Strike is more useful as a tool to escape the heat of battle if you're taking damage; it increases your speed, and reduces the damage you incur - much like Han's Shoulder Charge and Grievous' Claw Rush.
Mind Trick is an interesting ability, but once it is active on an enemy then it takes them about two seconds to become accustomed to the briefly-inverted controls, making the ability useless after this period is over. Insight is useful in game modes such as Galactic Assault, and Capital Supremacy, as it enables you to see whether enemies are guarding objectives or not - however, it's rarely useful in a Heroes Vs. Villains scenario.
Rey deals a good amount of damage with her lightsaber strikes, and holds a moderate amount of health, too; but the lacklustre impact of her abilities let her down significantly.
