Star Wars Battlefront 2 Reviews: 11 Early Reactions You Need To Know
1. Everything Costs Too Much Despite Heroes Being Reduced
Thankfully, after a historic level of backlash against EA’s decision to make heroes unable to be bought unless you put 40 hours of work into each and every one of them, the publisher has decided to drastically overhaul their unlock system.
While that’s all well and good for players wanting to buy new characters though, there are still essential purchases in Battlefront 2’s multiplayer that are priced far too highly, and ask a ridiculous amount from the player to unlock even the chance of getting what they want.
If reviews are to be believed, some of the loot boxes will take well over two hours to save up enough currency to unlock, and even then you’re not guaranteed to get anything that will further your progression.
If character progression items were separate from cosmetics then that might be fine, but putting almost three hours of work into Battlefront 2 and only being rewarded with a new emote could become a regular frustrating occurrence, at least for now.
