Star Wars Battlefront 3: 10 Ways It Can Save The Franchise
3. An Expanded Story Mode
Although it did have some highlights, the story mode for Battlefront 2 was short, boring and generally not special in any way.
For Battlefront 3 this needs to change. Give the story some actual consequence to the world of Star Wars and feature characters that we either already care about or that we'll eventually fall in love with.
Look at Kyle Katarn and Starkiller. Both characters are well known in the Star Wars universe because their games had enjoyable stories that actually affected Star Wars. As cool as Iden Versio can be, her story is clichéd and wasn't really what people wanted to see.
As well as this, the story mode needs to have some much more enjoyable sections of gameplay. Introducing some more set-pieces is something that could do wonders for the game.
The best sections of the campaign came from when you got to play as Jedi like Luke and Kylo. Maybe this indicates that Battlefront 3's campaign should make the leap and focus entirely on a Jedi character rather than rebels.
