3. Heroes Aren't That Great
First of all: nobody cares that Luke appears on the Hoth mission in his Return Of The Jedi garb. Seriously, it's a non-issue. The real issue is how unimportant heroes generally feel when they enter the battlefield. The likes of Darth Vader, Han Solo and Boba Fett are all going to be playable heroes upon the game's full release - but they're currently not serving their intended purpose. Their arrival should be met with fear, scorn and retreat - such is their intended ability to pull back a losing battle or break a stalemate between opposing forces. Except that's not really what happens. Aside from some awful animations for Vader and Luke that replace fear with hysterical laughter, they're just not strong enough to carry out the desired purpose. Not helping at all is DICE's arbitrary decision to make hero health dwindle at a constant rate even when you're not taking damage. It forces the player into acting brashly and without thought to try and squeeze as much use out of their time in the limelight as possible. Nine times out of ten, this results in a complete waste of the buff and an indifferent snort of derision from the enemy side at how easily defeated the hero was. Remove the health drain please, DICE. It's silly and unnecessary.
