4. Will Sequel Trilogy Force Powers Be Used?

Now that the sequel trilogy is just about wrapped up, the time has come for figuring out how to properly implement lore details brought up in the new movies into expanded universe material.

This should ensure it eventually morphs into an impossible-to-untangle web of retcons, confusing storylines, contradictory lore details and superfluous original characters - just the way we like it, and just like the old expanded universe. You're welcome, Star Wars fandom!

And the most obvious place to start with a video game is with the new force powers shown off in The Last Jedi. So far there are only two new force powers that the sequel trilogy has shown off: pulling yourself toward an object with the force, and using the force to project an image of yourself across a large distance.

When it comes to exploration and combat, both of these abilities would be great for adding options for the player.

The first one is obvious, since if you can use the force to pull an object toward yourself, it's only fair that you can pull yourself toward an object. But force projection could add multiple new dimensions for combat, letting you distract enemies so you can get the drop on them, or avoid them entirely.

Whether or not these powers will be utilized in-game, answering this question will help people better understand the combat system that they're in for.
