Although not too much is known about the actual story of Fallen Jedi (though the fact that it has a story at all, considering EA's push towards "games-as-service" releases, is at least good to know), Zampella did confirm where in the Star Wars universe the title would be set.

Predictably, the narrative takes place in between Episodes III and IV, a period which is now not only well covered by video games, but also Star Wars movies themselves. Though there's nothing inherently bad with setting a game during this time, it's not exactly the most inventive thing to do, with the timeframe often limiting the creative scope of a project.

Still, Zampella has confirmed that the story will indeed make use of the sinister tone that comes with this interim period, following the destruction of the Jedi and rise of the Empire. It's being dubbed as the "Dark Time", but lets just hope it's not the same 'dark time" we've seen depicted so much already in past games.
