7. Crossplay

Faction warfare. Isn't that what Star Wars is all about?

Jokes aside, the ability to crossplay on Star Wars: Squadrons is actually quite an enticing feature. The adds a larger player base to the game and will hopefully add to the longevity of the multiplayer scene. A larger base will hopefully add more diversity to the game modes in multiplayer.

One of Squadrons key multiplayer modes is Fleet Battles. This is a large scale assault mode similar to Battlefronts Galactic Assault mode. These large scale conquests focus on teams pushing backwards and forwards against the objectives. Having a full lobby on a mode like this will make the war even more thrilling and exhilarating as you race for victory.

It also doesn't hurt to have your mates play along side you. Particularly in a game that emphasises both team work. Well, it's in the name Squadrons. Sitting back and storming the galaxy with a group of friends regardless of their choice of system sounds like a wonderful Star Wars experience.
