There’s a scarecrow to the west of Peach’s castle. Hitting it with Cappy will briefly summon a staircase and if you can get up it quick enough, a real treat awaits at the top. Head around to the other side of the spire and you’ll find a very familiar looking egg.

Break it open and out pops Yoshi, everyone’s little green dinosaur, who you can even take control of and play as with a little help from Cappy. You could find Yoshi in the same location in Mario 64, so having him here again is a really nice little inclusion.

That’s not all the Yoshi goodness though, as if you’re lucky enough to find the correct painting, you can jump through to an otherwise unreachable islandin the Mushroom Kingdom that happens to be Yoshi’s home, complete with fireplace, a canopy of trees and of course a Power Moon to add to your collection.
