Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC: 10 Characters We Want To See

I’m pretty sure by this point, Nintendo are just trolling the community, and are quietly loving every second of it.

Anyone wondering how this lanky, purple garbed evil Clark Gable fits into the Mario family tree, Waluigi is Luigi’s rival, created during the development of Mario Tennis. Depending on what site you visit, Waluigi is Wario’s brother or just his associate. Whatever his bloodline, he’s basically Luigi’s doppelgänger.

The very prominent vocal outcry from fans about Waluigi’s lack of play-ability in Super Smash Brothers has seemingly fallen on the deaf ears of the Big N. Yes, he was technically in Super Smash Brothers Brawl and 3DS by way of being an assist trophy (and just a display trophy in Melee!) and you can use him to play tennis, drive karts and play board games, but people want to use him to fight!

I think what irks fans so much is that you can play as characters like Villager and Wii Fit Trainer, but not as someone who's a cult figure in Mario lore. A mannequin in yoga pants is a playable character in Smash Brothers, but Waluigi isn’t.
