Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC: 10 Characters We Want To See
2. Travis Touchdown
Born from the mind of Goichi Suda, the anime loving, lucha wrestling Travis Touchdown is a perfect fit for the Smash Brothers line up. His flamboyant wrestling moves and beam katana are crying out to be used on Nintendo characters outside of the No More Heroes series.
Modelled after Jackass star Johnny Knoxville, Travis is yet to make an an appearance outside of his own series, and with the third game (Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes) not far off release, it would be a good way for Nintendo to raise the profile of one of their more neglected anti-hero characters.
Like Zero, Travis’ techniques would be easy to craft around his weapons and wrestling moves. It’s just deciding if his Final Smash is using the dual “Rose Nasty” blades or flying around on his “Schpeltiger” bike.
As much as I think Travis would be a great fit for Smash with his range of fighting abilities, he’s one of the most un-Nintendo characters living under the Japanese giant’s roof. However, a character like Solid Snake doesn’t exactly gel with the Nintendo ideals and he fits in just fine among the other brawlers, so it might not be that far-fetched.
