Tekken: Every Game Ranked From Worst To Best

8. Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Speaking of downers, whilst TTT2 has gone on to be very well regarded amongst the Tekken fanbase, it was but a shell of its former self when compared to the earth-shaking Tekken Tag 1.

Thankfully we have the biggest roster ever assembled in a Tekken game, encompassing everybody from Angel to Kunimitsu, Alex to Tiger. The only problem was, in treating the Tag Tournament as a spin-off and an excuse to 'get the gang back together', Namco did very little to advance the core game mechanics.

It's no bad thing, being said mechanics are rather legendary, but when we were coming off of Tekken 6 and there was all the weight of the original Tekken Tag to live up to, throwing together every possible skin and character into a giant melting pot was so aggressively 'okay' it hurt.

Yes, Tekken Tag 2 is a fantastic celebration of the franchise, but as something that could've lived up to the first entry and re-righted the ship after Tekken 6, it fell short.
