Tekken: Every Game Ranked From Worst To Best
9. Tekken 6
There's nothing offensively off-putting about Tekken 6, it just sticks out as the first numbered instalment to not do anything new. Coming after the refocused Tekken 5, releasing T6 as 'more of the same' was never going to cut it.
Instead, with their hopes for a more technical fighter dashed after Tekken 4's negative reception, this simply showed that for once, Namco were all out of ideas.
On top of those identical gameplay mechanics, new roster additions were also notably naff and forgettable. Atop the yawn-inducing likes of Miguel and Bob, another Heihachi child was introduced in the form of Lars Alexandersson, a man upstaged by his own haircut. Top that off with a chainsaws-for-hands android named Alisa (seriously, that's the design they went with?) and unless you were just happy to play more Tekken no matter what, it was quite the downer.
