The Division 2 Review: 10 Ups & 4 Downs

3. The Terrific Sound & Music

If you've got a decent surround sound system or a nice pair of headphones, The Division 2 is an absolute aural joy.

First and foremost, gunfire sounds are splashy, impactful and dynamic at all times, with weapons sounding markedly different depending on the acoustic environment in which they're fired, and there's a decent amount of diversity between the various gun sounds also.

Perhaps the real star of the show, however, is Ola Strandh's pulsing musical score, which does a fantastic job amping up the tension during main story missions.

And even with the game's length, it's impressive that the more familiar incidental music doesn't begin to feel tiresome or repetitive.
