The Elder Scrolls: 10 Best Storylines That Should Be Turned Into Movies

1. The Dark Brotherhood - Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood storyline was brilliant, however Oblivion's will always be the very best in Elder Scrolls history.

When a player commits a murder in Oblivion, the next time they go to sleep they will wake up to find Lucien Lachance standing over them and proposing that they join him in the Dark Brotherhood.

Unlike in Skyrim, where the Dark Brotherhood was nothing more than a shell of its former self and only housed one sanctuary, Oblivion features a guild at the height of its power, with four different sanctuaries active when the game kicks off.

Whilst the Elder Scrolls series has made something of a name for itself for putting out quests that can tug at a player's hearts, it is put into another gear with this storyline.

The characters players are introduced to in Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood story really do capture the family feel of the guild unlike any other, which makes the paranoia and betrayal that emerges along with the threat of a band of traitors later on all the more painful to play through.

Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood questline is stacked full of unique assassinations, intrigue, paranoia and culminates in a series of ways that no one would be able to see coming.
