The Elder Scrolls VI: Every Rumour & Confirmed Detail So Far

5. New Ways To Play

First spotted in January, a call for programmers at Bethesda contains the following responsibility:

"Collaborate on the implementation of new gameplay features: player and characters’ behaviors, combat and powers mechanics, user interface, etc."

Assuming all the rumours we've seen so far are true, then we can make an educated guess at these new features.

As Hammerfell is mostly desert, it's likely that some survival mechanics will make it into the game, requiring the player to find food and drink as well as sleep. Easier said than done when you consider other features of deserts.

Could we see shifting sands make it into The Elder Scrolls as a feature? While the main cities would likely be protected, the idea that entire routes across the world might change due to gigantic sandstorms is certainly intriguing.

Perhaps, like in real deserts, there will be nomadic tribes whose villages move according to the changes of the landscape too, giving us a world that is constantly evolving due to the whims of the wind. And perhaps we could be a part of one of these tribes, using a version of Fallout 76's C.A.M.P. system.

But that's not all...

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
