The Greatest Video Game Football Team Of All Time

In most parts of the world, the full-back is seen as the most unspectacular player on the pitch. Solid, reliable and there when you need him, he does what he is told and he gets on with things. Not if you are Brazilian, that is. With the likes of Nilton Santos, Djalma Santos, Carlos Alberto, and Cafu all gracing the position, one could be led to believe that it was one of the most revered positions in a team.

All doubt about this was cast aside by one player: R. Larcos. Blessed with the pace and power of Maurice Greene, the shot of a canon and the lungs of a free-diver, there was simply not a player in the digital world who could keep up with him. The first transfer for any serious Master League player in PES 2, R. Larcos would drag even the weakest teams out of Division 2.

His pace down the wings devastated defenses. Whether he went coast to coast to whip in the perfect cross, or ran through the entire team to score himself, there was no stopping Larcos. His incredible stamina and form meant that he could do it with a startling degree of consistency too, season after season.

And yes, R. Larcos was a less than stellar attempt to sneak Roberto Carlos' likeness into the game. But we can forgive Konami this one time, as they blessed us with one of the finest virtual players ever.
