Belgium's golden generation might have flattered to deceive as a collective, but as individuals, they were/are regarded as some of the best players in the world. None of them managed to stand out quite like a certain "Koltarii" did, though. A giant of a man, the Muscles From Brussels effortlessly dominated attackers in mid to late-2000s PES games.
Blessed with pace, strength, balance, and the ability to play the ball out from the back, he was the complete package. Many a Master League player would sign him early on in their campaigns, as he develops into the best defender in the game. With youth on his side, he would basically form the foundation of your team for the entirety of your ML career.
He was remarkably resistant to injuries too, which added to his favourite status among PES players. With PES looking to claw back some market share from FIFA, "Koltarri" was eventually revealed to be Vincent Kompany. The man who guided Manchester Blue/Manchester City to numerous English League and Cup titles, and represented the Red Devils in two World Cups.
Interestingly, Vincent Kompany is another player who broke the "video game wonderkid" curse. Part of a truly elite class of footballers, Koltarii/Kompany is a worthy member of this and any other "all time best" lineup.
