The Legend Of Zelda: 10 Best Intro Dungeons

5. Spirit Tracks: Tower Of Spirits

Fixing virtually all the mistakes of the Temple of the Ocean King from its predecessor The Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks' Tower of Spirits provides one of the most unique dungeon experiences in the entire Legend of Zelda series.

Much like the Temple of the Ocean King, the Tower of Spirits is revisited numerous times throughout Link's adventure -- but this time, shortcuts ensure that players don't need to trawl through large sections of the dungeon they had already completed numerous times, a major criticism of the previous game.

Spanning a grand total of thirty floors, the Tower of Spirits also (thankfully) dispenses with the time limit that made The Phantom Hourglass such a pain at times.

But the Tower isn't just an improved re-skin of the central dungeon of The Phantom Hourglass. In a first for the franchise, players are given the ability to control Princess Zelda (albeit in a ghostly form), possessing the Temple's Phantoms and leading to some innovative co-operative puzzles which require the co-ordinated control of both Link and Zelda.
