The Legend Of Zelda: 10 Most Disappointing Boss Battles

7. Majora - Majora's Mask

Ocarina of Time concludes with a monumental battle against The Great King of Evil, Ganondorf. It is hailed as one of greatest boss fights, not just in the Zelda series but in all gaming. As a result, expectations for the follow-up, Majora's Mask, were unrealistically high.

How do you top an adversary like Ganondorf? Simple. You don't. The antagonist of Majora's Mask is a mask. What is the mask's backstory? It's evil. That's it.

Now, the final battle isn't terrible; it's just REALLY weird. Since Majora's origin is vague, the player has no expectations how this fight is going to go.

But what the player isn't expecting is for the final boss to be a Cossack-dancing, moonwalking, ballerina-twirling, clucking monster. (If you haven't played the game, you'll assume I just made that up. I don't blame you.)

Sadly, the boss doesn't provide any challenge either. By this point, you'll have at least ten hearts, four bottles, and the half-damage upgrade. If you use your shield, nearly all of Majora's attacks are utterly ineffective.

There is no question that Majora's Mask is one of the strongest games in the beloved series but the main villain doesn't hold a candle to Ganondorf.
