Titanfall 2 Review - 6 Ups & 5 Downs
1. Its Release Date May Kill The Franchise
The worst and most depressing thing about Titanfall 2 actually has nothing to do with anything inside the game, but rather the fact that EA ill-advisedly decided to release it in-between the far larger releases of Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
Analysts are already insisting that the game's sales will be "substantially disappointing", and given the poorly thought-out release combined with a disastrous beta test that turned a lot of fans off, it's not remotely surprising.
The sad reality is that EA ended up competing against themselves here, and in doing so may have inadvertently killed their own franchise, because if the predictions are on the money (which they almost certainly are), then it'll be hard for them to see the worth in making a third game.
And now, it's time to consider everything Titanfall 2 got right...
