Tomb Raider 2 Already In The Works?

Is Crystal Dynamics already planning Tomb Raider 2? The Lara Croft reboot is currently scheduled for a early 2013 release date, but it appears the development team is in the beginning of stages of a potential sequel. Crystal Dynamic global brand director Karl Steward was talking about Tomb Raider in a recent interview with Videogamer and was hinting a potential second installment was already in the works.
"I have to be careful because I know exactly where she's going... You have to look at the future, you have to look at where... It's not just one game," "At the end of this game we want her to be that strong female character that is willing to go and seek out mysteries and seek out tombs. She's going to be going to plenty of tombs in this game, but we're going to have somebody who wants to go on that adventure, who wants to be the person that she now is. That's the goal.""I don't want to say anymore on it because I'll have the game director of the next game going 'what the fuck are you saying?'"
On the side note, the main leading voice actress behind Lara Croft has been revealed. Kate Middleton will play Laura Croft in the reboot (sorry not Angelina jolie). Crystal Dynamics from all accounts is building the series around having a strong female protagonist, but has been in the news lately for their controversial comments on the sexual assault that did or didn't happen in the E3 2012 trailer. This latest addition to the Tomb Raider franchise is a prequel to the events of when we first see her appear, giving the development team room to explore the character of Lura Croft in way we haven't seen before. We should here more about Tomb Raider and about a potential sequel as the game marches towards its March 1st release date.
