Anyone unlucky to fork over cash to play the thing will know that THPS 5 was complete and utter cash-grab trash. It was the video game equivalent of Robomodo spitting in everyone's faces. 'You like Tony Hawk's? Yeah, well eat this sh*t suckers' should've been put as a warning label on the box.

These remastered versions of the first two games are part of the healing process.

Vicarious Visions will know only too well that fans experienced joy, burnout and then depression with the skating series over the years. The latest entry, released in 2015 and only good for tossing out the nearest window, was a glitchy, unfinished mess of a title. It's critical that 2020 makes up for that.

VV need to exorcise some pesky demons that are pushing players from their boards and making them question why they ever thought some dorky 'Birdman' dude was even cool in the first place. 1+2 Remastered will be nothing like 5, and that's a good thing.
