8 Epic Video Game Moments That Were TOO EASY

3. Shadow Moses - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Hideo Kojima strikes again, this time with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which while one hell of a satisfying send-off for Solid Snake, fails to balance difficulty with fan service during its most nostalgic sequence.

Late in the game, Snake ends up back at Shadow Moses Island - where the original Metal Gear Solid takes place - which beyond the obvious appeal of revisiting such an iconic locale, also serves as the setting for three totally insane boss fights.

The problem, however, is that the entire chapter is easy to its detriment - the Gekko units can be easily dealt with using chaff grenades, the Vamp fight is hilariously trivial once you realise the trick to defeating him, and the Metal Gear duel is a cinch compared to the mech battles in previous games.

It's really only the Crying Wolf fight that's liable to give players much trouble at all, and even that isn't so tough.

Kojima was evidently far more interested in giving players a nostalgia trip than testing their mettle here. As glorious as it is, a little more pushback would've been nice.
