8 Epic Video Game Moments That Were TOO EASY

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a mostly excellent game that will be forever remembered for introducing the world to the brilliant Nemesis hierarchy system - which was then locked behind a patent by Warner Bros. until 2036, the swines.

The moment-to-moment gameplay is terrific, enough that players surely relished the inevitable end-game confrontation with the Black Hand of Sauron.

When the Black Hand rocks up in a cutscene to take you on, it's a deliriously exciting moment, but that all swiftly evaporates when it becomes clear that the cutscene basically is the battle.

What counts as a fight against the Black Hand of Sauron is really just a few QTE prompts during the cutscene, after which the big lug is swiftly put down.

It's no secret that major content was cut from Shadow of Mordor due to developer Monolith Productions misjudging the scope of the project, and that seemingly extended to not even really bothering with a proper final boss fight.

What should've been an intense duel to the death with the Black Hand was instead boiled down to a few perfunctory, woefully unsatisfying button presses.
