8 Evil Video Game Corporations You Wouldn't Want To Work For

You might loathe your energy company for doubling your bills this year, but Final Fantasy VII's Shinra makes that seem positively benevolent.

Unless you're totally cool with working for a company that's quite literally draining a planet's life force for profit, the Shinra Electric Power Company must be an absolutely soul-destroying place to work.

And it frankly gets worse the more you think about it, given that the Mako energy Shinra drains from the planet is effectively comprised of human souls in the Lifestream.

Beyond this, Shinra has no qualms about human experimentation and raising child soldiers, while operating various military and intelligence factions to keep the populous in line. 

As you can probably guess, upper management is sociopathic to the point of self-parody.

If unrestrained capitalism were a final boss, it'd surely be Shinra itself. The company isn't merely evil - it's got a literal stranglehold on the planet, siphoning its life away for nothing more than the industrious pursuit of More Money.
