6. Aperture Science - Portal
Is there any corporate sin more egregious than lying about the prospect of cake?
Jokes aside, Portal's Aperture Science expanded from lowly shower curtain manufacturer (!) to an experimental physics research outfit over the course of a half-century, with its main facility run by a deranged AI, GLaDOS, with a disconcertingly lax regard for human welfare.
That is to say, GLaDOS is responsible for killing almost all of Aperture's employees by flooding the Enrichment Center with a deadly neurotoxin, and to somehow make this even worse, GLaDOS did it on Bring Your Daughter to Work Day.
In the event you somehow survived this, there was a good chance you'd end up a test subject in one of GLaDOS' unhinged experiments.
And even if you happened to work for Aperture before GLaDOS was switched on, there was a non-zero chance Aperture's boss, Cave Johnson, just might have you killed and implant your consciousness into an experimental AI.
After all, that's how GLaDOS was born in the first place.
