Borderlands' Hyperion begs the question, is there ever such thing as a good weapons manufacturer?
No, the answer is no, by the way.
Hyperion is Pandora's chief warmongering organisation, and happens to be run by the Worst Boss in the Universe, Handsome Jack - a psychopathic, genocidal CEO to make our own real-life CEOs on planet Earth seem positively compassionate.
Jack will think nothing of murdering his own employees in deeply unpleasant ways - like ejecting them out of airlocks - for little reason beyond his own amusement. To call it a toxic workplace culture is to rather understate the case here.
And so, even if you're somehow cool with being a cog in the machine of a horrific dictatorship, there's a good chance Jack will come for you eventually, and there won't even be a good reason for it.
As is so often the case with corporations, the cruelty is the point.
