UFC 4 Reveal: 10 Things We Want To See
6. Legends List Revealed
One of the best things about sports games is that it allows us to play out hypothetical matchups between fighters from different eras that would be otherwise confined to fantasy.
How does the current crop of heavyweights stack up to those from the mid-2000s? Could a prime Royce Gracie be competitive with today's top stars? Would Brock Lesnar really have been able to defeat Daniel Cormier? By including legendary names from yesteryear in the UFC games, fans are offered a much wider variety of options in matchmaking.
With that in mind, one can only wonder which legends will be immortalised in the upcoming game. The UFC 4 announcement would be a great time to offer a glimpse as to which fighters will be available, with this writer believing that including every inductee into the UFC Hall of Fame as playable characters would be a good start.
Also, while we're at it, why not add the legendary fighters into the roster in career mode? At least defending your heavyweight belt against Dan Severn would be more interesting than the situation in the previous game where you'd often find yourself taking on a 55-year-old Daniel Cormier for the 8th time.
