UFC 4 Reveal: 10 Things We Want To See
7. PRIDE Mode
For those who aren't well-versed in MMA lore, it may be surprising that there was once a time when Dana White's promotion wasn't the premier destination for up and coming mixed martial artists.
In the early 2000s, Japanese promotion PRIDE was an MMA juggernaut, incorporating some of the spectacle of professional wrestling in its pomp and circumstance, utilising a ruleset much more conducive to entertaining fights, and boasting the greatest roster of heavyweights ever assembled in a fighting promotion.
Despite PRIDE's success, the UFC would eventually emerge victorious in the battle of the two behemoths, ultimately purchasing the Japanese promotion in 2007.
Despite owning both PRIDE's rights and video library the UFC has scarcely utilised them to their full potential. One exception to this came in 2010's UFC Undisputed 3 game that allowed the player to contest bouts in a PRIDE ring under the modified ruleset, but a similar mode has yet to be incorporated into any of EA's UFC instalments.
A sure-fire way to send hardcore MMA fans into a frenzy would be to bring back PRIDE mode in EA UFC 4.
