The Walking Dead Season 2 New Trailer: 10 Eye-Catching Moments

5. "The Most Important Thing"

Carver's obviously the father of Rebecca's baby. As if it hadn't been made abundantly clear in All That Remains that Alvin wasn't the father, this trailer hammers home Carver's connection with the child with all the subtlety of Clementine's walker-bashing hammer. It seems like Alvin might already know, too, but he's got kind of a sad-sack thing going for him so he doesn't seem all that likely to do anything about it if he does. That's okay, though: the most interesting drama won't come from knowing the true identity of the kid's father (speaking of pregnancies, when's Christa going to show up again? Clem's efforts to save her - or not, depending on what choice you made - can't have all been for naught), but rather from the fallout that will ensue when that knowledge becomes public, which will probably be sooner rather than later. Also, that quote from Luke is quite interesting in and of itself: suggesting that "the most important thing" in a man's life is to be with his child probably means that he hopes to be a father some day. God bless the guy, he sure is an optimist; wanting to be a parent in a world where everyone's life expectancy is usually a matter of weeks is either the dumbest or the bravest thing you could do.
