First off, this horse is a bit of a fidgety b*stard. It's too bloody quick, meaning that it's hard to hit it with powerful attacks. It can also summon thunderbolts to rain from the sky, paralysing anyone unfortunate enough to be hit by one.
Kirin doesn't have any single attack that can end runs, but it is guilty of running down the clock by avoiding being hit. More hunts against Kirin fail because the time limit ran out than those that fail because the team was wiped out.
Being defeated in such a way is far more annoying and it's easy to see why people hate this majestic beast.
