What GTA 6 MUST Learn From GTA 5

4. Police Aren’t “Always On”

Not sure if Rockstar know this, but...crimes get committed in the real-world daily without cops instantly swarming the scene like they’ve been waiting on it. What once seemed like an excellent feature (the police presence in GTA games generally) has now become outdated and in dire need of a rethink.

More realistic policing mechanics sound great.

GTA 6 could maybe steal from a competitor here. In Mafia 3, which had a ton of problems itself and was by no means perfect either, cops were slower to respond in less affluent areas. That had racial undertones, obviously, but Rockstar don't have to work that ugly side in - they can adapt to suit their own game world.

Police also tend to immediately forget all about your rampages if you enter a safe house, which is hardly fab. Refining the way authorities react to certain things is something GTA should really think about. Squad cars shouldn't be ramming you off the road for petty crimes.
