5. Nintendo Land 
Nintendo Land is arguably the most important launch title for the Wii U. It serves as the Wii Sports of this console and is going to be used to showcase the many uses of the new Wii U gamepad. Nintendo Land will include 12 separate attractions each with their own mini-games. Each one of these attractions features one of Nintendos most iconic mascots. The demo showed the other day had Samus running around blasting bad guys on the ground, while somebody used the Wii U gamepad to blast baddies out of the sky with Samuss ship. It will be interesting to see how Nintendo Land is received and how it will showcase the new Wii U hardware. If Wii Sports was any indication, I am sure Nintendo will deliver. So there you have it. Five essential launch titles that will be pivotal to the success of the Wii U. To preface, these games are the ones that will be available on launch day or slightly thereafter. There are other essential titles that could have been on this list but were omitted because they have no official release time frame yet. Two of these would be the, now Wii U exclusive, Bayonetta 2 and the Nintendo classic/fan favorite Pikmin 3. I hope you enjoy the list and are having a great year playing games.
