WWE 13: 10 Attitude Era Storylines That Must be Included

3. Hart vs. Michaels

Perhaps one of the most famous preludes to modern wrestling, many fans consider this rivalry's culmination €“ The Montreal Screw Job €“ to be the event that directly set the stage for the Attitude era. It was purportedly a real-life event in which Vince McMahon actually screwed Bret Hart out of his title by calling for the bell before he€™d submitted to Michaels' Sharpshooter. The Montreal Screwjob was emulated in the Mankind vs. Rock feud, creating the evil corporate entity that acted as the Attitude era€™s main antagonistic force toward nearly every performer of note in the roster. The Screwjob wasn€™t the only iconic event in these two giants€™ rivalry though; the pairing was also involved in WWE€™s first ever ladder match (another prelude to the more violent Attitude era), as well as the first ever televised 60 minute iron man match. With such iconic and WWE universe defining events to draw from, it€™d make sense to include this rivalry in the final WWE 13 product. It€™d not only guarantee some serious player satisfaction but it€™d also act as a fitting beginning to any story that wants to examine the Attitude era.
