7. WWE '13 - PS3/Wii/Xbox 360
The facet that sets this title apart from the rest is the Attitude Era mode, the best story line based mode in any WWE title to date. The Attitude Era mode is a six-chapter novel of sorts revisiting the career highlights of a number of the Attitude Era's biggest stars. The mode has an excellent concoction of detailed wrestling footage packages, in-game cutscenes and text-based descriptions help relive the edgy and exhilarating spirit of the time. It serves as a history lesson for newcomers to WWE and a trip down memory lane for older fans. The action is more free flowing that 2K15's while the attention to detail in the reenactment of some of the Era's biggest moments is second to none. Like 2K15, rewards are available for completing certain objectives in the matches, so just winning the match isn't enough. This makes for a long and prosperous life for the game due to the sheer number of matches you play. There is only one area where 2K15 has the upper hand on '13 and that's the superstars' entrances. The newest game's insistence on having perfectly choreographed sequences means other areas of the game, like graphics and the creation suit, suffer badly. WWE '13 offers a much more well rounded experience with a captivating edge.
