Strictly speaking this isn't a bonafide wrestling game, but it certainly packs a very similar punch. Fight For NY features several rappers, including Lil' Kim, Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Redman, Fat Joe, Joe Budden, Ice-T, Xzibit, N.O.R.E, Ludacris, and Busta Rhymes, Flavor Flav, Sean Paul as well as the voices and likeness of other celebrities such as Henry Rollins, Christopher Judge and Kimora Lee Simmons. Gamers are challenged fill the shoes of ruthless street fighters that are battling for control of New York's hip-hop underground. There are five different playable fighting styles ranging from street fighting to martial arts while the use of weapons and the environment around you is encouraged. Fans of hardcore wrestling will love this game. The gameplay is built around grapples, reversals and simple combos. It does take a while to get used to at first because it blends mechanics from both wrestling and straightforward fighting games, but the blend almost becomes seamless once you have got to grips with it. There are over 20 missions, of sorts, to complete which means you will loose endless weeks trying to finish them all. A must buy from Ebay, an all time classic.
