WWE 2K15: 11 Things We Know And Are Excited About

11. The Roster

So who's in WWE 2K15? If you head over to wwe.com and click on the 'superstars' link you'll see the current WWE roster and you'd expect just about all of those people to feature in the game. Beyond that there's bound to be some 'legends' in there too, which will mean overall playable characters will be well over a hundred if WWE 2K14 is anything to go off. Officially we have these names confirmed at E3: Bray Wyatt, John Cena, Hulk Hogan and Cesaro. They represent little in the way of surprise. Cena is WWE's main franchise star, he will be the all round top level 'Mario' type character of 2K's franchise, the go to guy if you want to dive right into the game and have a run with a solid performer. As for Wyatt and Cesaro they're two newer talents who WWE have internally marked for a huge future, 2K15 prominence is yet another way to elevate the perceptions of these stars. Hulk Hogan as a featured star speaks for itself, he is the most recognisable pro wrestler ever. 2K have backed up these reveals with the announcement of Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, Naomi, Cameron and AJ Lee. Again these are smart choices to help sell the game, Bryan in particular being the most popular superstar right now. You also have the emerging force of Reigns and the main WWE diva AJ Lee. Naomi and Cameron of Total Divas fame will also spark some attention for the game. From a marketing and promotional standpoint we have to say that 2K got it spot on at E3 with the roster reveals. What might end up more interesting is who isn't included. CM Punk, one of WWE's top stars, is absent from work right now and is set to see his contract expire. Will 2K feature him to gain a last bit of value out of his name or will Punk be off the franchise along with other recently released WWE superstars? Only time will tell at this stage with no official 2K comment on Punk.
