Sting and Lex Luger weren't strictly rivals in WCW, their relationship is much more complicated and hard to explain than most rivalries. The two were first billed as best friends, they often tag-teamed with each other, even though Lex Luger was usually playing a heel, while Sting was usually always a face. Due to their bickering, disagreements and eventually Lex Luger turning his back on Sting as part of the NWO angle, the two became bitter rivals for a time, though this was mostly off-screen with only a few in ring confrontations. Regardless of what era they were in, there was usually some relation between Lex Luger and Sting, be it friends, rivals, enemies or partners. Lex Luger seems like an ideal inclusion into WWE 2K15 in that regard, as the two gel together so well and have a huge amount of history as competitors. Luger's inclusion would go far in helping to validate Sting's history for those who are unaware of it. While WWE fans may dispute whether he's truly deserving of a legend spot, WWE 2K15 won't be a total package without the pairing of Sting and Lex Luger.
