WWE 2K15: Everything We Know So Far

3. The Seemingly Confirmed Superstars

Thanks to Justin Roberts, we know that 'Taker and John Cena will be involved, which at least seems to confirm that WWE 2K15 won't be going in a wild new direction that ignores the biggest stars, but we also have a hint that a newer star will be involved. South African star Justin Gabriel - who played a part in both the Andre The Giant Battle Royale at Wrestlemania 30, and assisted in Daniel Bryan's feud with the Authority - revealed on his official Instagram that he was being scanned to be in WWE 2K15. The above image shows the wrestler being scanned for a character model - and the logical assumption is that it's for WWE 2K15 - and the fact that the image was promptly deleted from his account, preusmably as soon as the secret keepers found out, seems to confirm as much. Not to mention he used the description to say he was getting scanned for the new WWE video game. The biggest question remains whether CM Punk will appear. The star remains contracted to the WWE until July, but with the roster for WWE 2K15 decided during a time when his future was (and still is) very much still up in the air, it seems somewhat unlikely that he will appear as part of that contract. What could happen of course is that the WWE and 2K work with Punk on a game-only contract, to allow fans the obvious boost of having him as a day one playable character, which would seem a sensible answer to the potential problem of Punk fans voting with their wallets against the game.
