5. Chyna
Chyna is the most difficult entry on this list, and WWE’s stance on her legacy remains unclear. After her passing earlier this year, Stephanie McMahon said Chyna would likely make it into the Hall of Fame sooner or later, but it’s hard to gauge her sincerity. Triple H has previously asserted that Chyna’s checkered personal life made her an incredibly tricky induction, and the debate to include her on 2K17 is almost exactly the same.
Regardless of these misgivings, Chyna has more than earned her place in history. She was a hugely prominent figure throughout the Attitude Era, and while never the most exciting wrestler in the world, she’s definitely among the most memorable characters that WWE has ever seen.
Chyna broke ground as a female wrestler who was just as capable working with the men as the women. She remains the only woman in history to hold the WWE Intercontinental Title, and though her time with the company was relatively short, Chyna left a bigger mark on WWE in half a decade than most do in twice that.
Including her in 2K17 would be a fitting way to pay tribute, even she’d only be able to wrestle the women.
