WWE 2K17: 10 Entrances They Must Get Right
4. Shinsuke Nakamura
Of all the wrestlers on this list, Shinsuke Nakamura’s entrance might be the easiest for the developers to botch. The King of Strong Style has been an instant hit since debuting in NXT in April, and looks set to complete a rapid ascent up the card when he wrestles Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship this weekend.
He’s immensely popular, and not just for his immense NJPW track record. Nakamura exudes charisma: his vibe is completely unique in professional wrestling, and reminiscent of prime Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson. The guy just oozes personality from every pore, and while his janky movements and odd facial expressions can be jarring at first, he’s the type of performer you just can’t take your eyes off.
How are 2K Sports going to capture this in 2K17? Lord knows, but best of luck to them. Much like Sasha Banks, Nakamura’s ramp movements are completely unlike anything we’ve seen in a WWE game before. His moveset was included in 2K16’s preset fighting styles, but it’s going to be really tough for them to capture Nakamura’s quirks and idiosyncrasies without either sucking the life out of his character, or making him look like a child.
