WWE 2K17: 10 Entrances They Must Get Right
2. Finn Balor
There are two Finn Balor entrances for 2K Games to get right. His standard television intro is straightforward enough: all they need is a leather jacket, some bright lights, and his trademark poses. That one’s not going to be an issue.
The Demon is obviously a little more complicated than that. There’s a whole new set of props and movements to take into account, and then there’s the small matter of recreating the atmosphere. The Demon brings a strong sense of foreboding and importance to proceedings every time he appears, and 2K Games need to capture that if they’re to separate it from Balor’s regular walk out.
Fortunately, they did a great job with The Demon in 2K16. Balor’s special entrance was very faithful to its real-life equivalent, and while the crescendos may have lacked some of their in-person drama, it’d be splitting hairs to complain about Balor’s 2K16 entrances.
Perhaps they’ll implement some diversity this year. Part of The Demon’s biggest appeal is seeing the subtle changes that Balor comes up with at each and every big show. From TakeOver: London’s Jack the Ripper to Dallas’ Leatherface, Balor always delivers an interesting variation on the format, and while it’d be wrong to expect a dozen different ring entrances for a single wrestler, including some of these switch-ups would show great attention to detail.
