Incidentally, a few years back, WWE and THQ produced a video game focused on recreating history called Legends Of WrestleMania. In this game, the Relive, Rewrite, and Redefine Mode allowed numerous memorable WrestleMania matches able to be recreated by players.

In Relive, among other scenarios, users could take control of Hulk Hogan as he battled King Kong Bundy at WrestleMania 2 or Andre The Giant at WrestleMania III. Rewrite allowed users to play as WrestleMania losers attempting to change history, such as Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake defeating The Honky Tonk Man for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania IV or Ultimate Warrior retaining against Rick Rude.

These were great ways to re-experience classic WrestleMania moments as well as see them from another perspective. Looking beyond WrestleMania, 2K18 has an opportunity to expand this great mode. 2K Sports already uses this format in their Showcase modes, but if you aren't fans of the profiled superstar(s), you're out of luck.

Opening it up to past SummerSlam, Survivor Series, or Royal Rumbles, or even applying it to specific decades would be a great new selling point for WWE 2K18.
