WWE 2K18: 10 Things That Must Be Included
4. A Deeper Soundtrack
Like any accomplished television show or Hollywood movie, a good video game can be made great by the inclusion of a fantastic soundtrack. WWE 2K17 made sure to provide entrance songs for the entire roster, as well as several pay-per-views, but a WWE video game is capable of so much more.
Longtime fans may remember the Grand Spectacle, the traditional WrestleMania theme song used from 1990 through 1994. Even the next version of WrestleMania's theme, despite being a hilariously bad rap song upon its release, has grown to elicit many fond memories. Imagine hearing these tunes pop-up in WWE 2K18.
Going beyond pay-per-views, just because a legend or former superstar doesn't appear in the game doesn't mean the jukebox can't contain their entrance music. Especially with the number of users creating and downloading custom superstars, having the entrance music of, say, The Mountie, would be a wonderful little detail that could take the customization suite to a whole new level.
Once upon a time, gamers could import their own songs and use them as entrance music. Potential copyright issues aside, that, too, would be a welcomed improvement especially for those non-Jim Johnston songs WWE no longer has the rights to.
