WWE 2K19: 10 Biggest Innovations We Need To See

6. A Hall Of Fame MyCareer Mode

Slog.

That's the best word to describe 2K18's MyCareer feature. It's unintuitive. Those repeated sequences forcing gamers to run from car to Gorilla Position have to go and so must the overwhelming feeling that you're not achieving anything with your created wrestler.

The thought of taking any CAW from Performance Center obscurity to the bright lights of WWE's main roster is dragged back by the fact the whole mode feels hollow. It's little more than a interminable grind through endless matches and samey dialogue.

It'd be much more exciting to streamline the thing and enable players to go from no-name rookie to WWE Hall Of Famer. Sure, it's ambitious, but a Career Mode should be. Imagine getting to retire after countless memorable in-ring moments to become GM on Raw or SmackDown, or a part-timer only brought in for big events like WrestleMania.
