WWE 2K19: 10 Ways To Save Universe Mode

4. Implement A Push Mechanic

The rankings ladder for title shots in 2K18 needs a bit of work before it can be considered logical or true-to-life. Beating a top contender with another without becoming involved in the title mix is frustrating, and it hardly encourages gamers to experiment with different superstars when the game seems to want to go in a fixed path.

This could be solved with one simple addition: the push mechanic. From the home screens for both Raw and SmackDown, it should be easy to decide which wrestlers you want to see more of on each brand. Using a lower name as an example, choosing Zack Ryder as SmackDown's main push would see him become involved in top storylines over the next few months.

Staggering pushes would also enable players to plan out their calendar a bit better. Fancy seeing Shinsuke Nakamura have a tilt at the WWE Title by SummerSlam? Then simply schedule his push to run from May/June onwards and peak at August's big pay-per-view.
