WWE 2K19: 10 Ways To Save Universe Mode
3. Reward Player Focus On One Superstar
Some of the best moments in 2K18's Universe Mode come when picking just the one superstar and taking them on a journey from zero to hero. It's not perfect by any means, but it's comparable to the joy of those long-lost Story Modes from the old SmackDown vs. Raw titles, and it's probably as good as we're going to get from 2K.
For some reason, 2K dislike the idea of a proper WWE Superstar career campaign. The current Career Mode is only available to CAWs, and that sucks. Unless a sweeping change is coming in 2K19 (we seriously doubt it), 2K could temporarily ease our frustrations by fine-tuning Universe Mode so that playing with a single wrestler mimics those experiences of old.
This goes hand-in-hand with a new push mechanic and 2K's own superstar goals feature. Shove both together, let players pick one character to use in an ever-evolving Universe and the results might be pretty spectacular.
In other words, we want to live that adventure from nondescript mid-carder to one of the most over names on the roster, just like Braun Strowman did.
