WWE 2K19: 8 Things You Need To Know

5. A TV Commercial Revealed The First 31 Playable Characters

Last year, WWE and 2K put out a full roster reveal around mid-August. It's expected they'll do the same this year, if only to build anticipation for the game and (hopefully) spike pre-orders. Unlike 2K18's pre-release schedule however, the developers have already started leaking a whole bunch of playable characters.

On the 19 June episode of SmackDown, WWE ran a TV ad that seemed to confirm over 30 names who will be part of 2K19's roster. AJ Styles, the cover star, was obviously there, and he was joined by a rapid sprint through the following stars. They're listed in alphabetical order so you can check for favourites.

Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, Apollo Crews, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Big E, Brie Bella, Brock Lesnar, Carmella, Cesaro, Charlotte Flair, Finn Balor, Jeff Hardy, Jinder Mahal, John Cena, Kane, Kofi Kingston, Lana (who could be playable this year), Matt Hardy, Naomi, Nia Jax, Nikki Bella, Randy Orton, Rusev, Sasha Banks, Seth Rollins, Sin Cara, The Undertaker, Triple H, Xavier Woods.

It's early days yet, so don't worry too much about the glaring gaps.
