Rey Mysterio has spent his entire career becoming one of the most popular superstars in the history of professional wrestling. Not only was he rewarded for that by being the cover star of WWE 2K22, he is also the focus of the games Showcase mode.

In Showcase mode, you play as Rey during some of the Master of the 619's greatest matches. While not including his World Heavyweight Championship win at WrestleMania 22 - likely due to Kurt Angle not being a playable character - nearly every other Rey Mysterio classic is included here. Dating back to his all-time great matchup with Eddie Guerrero at Halloween Havoc 1997, along the way you unlock nine different variations of the greatest masked luchador of all time.

Outside of Showcase mode, Mysterio is for sure still to be one of the most played wrestlers due to his high flying offense and unmatched popularity. Whether in a singles match or alongside his son Dominik, who doesn't love to execute a picture perfect 619 to win a match?
